At Bornholms Højskole I met my future wife Camilla.

In the winterterm 2009-2010 we sort of made an apprenticeship,

firing the schools woodfirekiln on our own.

 

 

"Just jump out into it.." were the words from Annemette the teacher of ceramics,

maybe it isn't as simple being a ceramic in 2010's in Denmark.

 

Certainly ou need to know and do a lot of practicle stuf in order to get there.

Finishing Bornholms Højskole we sort of accidental ended up

in Nykøbing Falster, at the same time we started  up our ceramic workshop LERHYTTEN

 

At the beginning we thougt of building us a summerworkshop in our backyard,

planing it we realised we would need a more stable power current and looked for

a temporary solution. We ended up ind a former fire station in Sakskøbing,

at Bredgaard Boatyard, here we also would be able to practice Raku firing,

and the rest "not-so-detached-house-suited" disciplins of ceramics.
